My name is Sarah Chapman I will be your teacher this year at Rigby Middle School! I am so excited to be working with you. I cannot wait to learn and grow along with you.

This is my first year teaching at RMS. I spent most of the 2020-2021 school year teaching at Eagle Rock Middle School in Idaho Falls. I graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho in December with my degree in Special Education.

I love working with teenagers. You start discovering things about yourself. You get to start figuring out your passions and things that make you, you. Dr. Seuss may have been a children's author, but I personally believe he understood teenagers as well!

"Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive... ...who is you-er than you! Shout loud, “I am lucky to be what I am! Thank goodness I’m not just a clam or a ham Or a dusty old jar of sour gooseberry jam! I am what I am! That’s a great thing to be!"

Middle school is when we start to discover that we have the power to choose who we want to start becoming.

About Me

I grew up in the Midwest, in the small town of O’Fallon, Illinois. My dad was in the Air Force, and we were stationed at Scott AFB when I was just 4 years old. When he retired from the Air Force, my parents decided to keep our family roots in O’Fallon.

I am the youngest of four children. I have two brothers with a sister in the middle. When I was one year old, my mom's parents moved in with my family. My grandpa passed away just a few years after they moved in. My grandma still lives with them. When I was in high school my oldest brother and his family moved in with my parents. They still live together. Altogether there are now 4 generations living in one house.
